I’m a terrible writer, but here it goes anyway. I’ve known these two kids for a long time. Since 8th grade to be precise. With Reed, I got into a lot of trouble. To highlight a few of our mischievous acts we ripped apart the engine in my first brand new car thinking we could go faster than the speed of light, we kept his parents up late at night playing our first guitars together in his basement and we drank more terrible beer together than I care to remember. Yet, through all the debauchery, he taught me so many things about life, responsibility and what a true friend really is. Because of him, I’m a better husband, friend and human being.
I met Melissa in 9th grade english class. If I recall, I wasn’t always very nice. Surprisingly, girls in 9th grade just aren’t as fond of sarcasm as I was at that time. Yet, Melissa continued to entertain my childish humor and grew into somebody I confided in and looked to for advice often. Oh yeah, she’s also the brilliant creative mind behind our current branding strategies including designing our logo, client consult guide and our Wedding Planner & Guide Ad.
Though these two were only acquaintances in high school, it boggles my mind how this didn’t develop sooner. In so many ways they’re the same, with the exception that Melissa is incredibly tolerant. Which is an invaluable trait for her to have because, well, Reed still enjoys his fair share of debauchery. I’m so happy this engagement finally happened and I’m so proud of them both. Having the opportunity to photograph two of my closest friends means the world to me.
Congrats you two!!!!

We shot a little video that I spliced over some music. Something totally new for us but it was fun, so maybe expect more in the future. Enjoy!

**Ooops, I used the wrong date at the end of the video. Should be 6/16/12. We’ll fix that another time.
